President Buhari set for another groundbreaking visit

Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari will on Saturday, November 5, pay a one day working visit to Sokoto.

This was issued in a statement on Friday, November 4, by Malam Imam Imam, the spokesman of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

Imam said while in Sokoto, the President will officially inaugurate the 500 unit housing estate built by the Sokoto State Government for civil servants at Kalambaina.

The president will use the occasion of the visit to witness the Durbar organised as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the appointment of Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar to the throne.

The events marking the historic anniversary have been going on since November 2.

The president is also expected to pay a 2-day official visit to Edo state on Monday, November 7.

According to the report, the plan visit will end on Tuesday, November 8, just before Governor Adams Oshiomhole ends his tenure on Saturday, November 12.

Buhari’s planned visit to Edo state will be the second in the space of two months as he visited Benin City in September to campaign for APC before the state governorship election.
