It was indeed a strange day for Lagos state policemen in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, July 28.

Officers of the Lagos state police command found a Chinese man dead in his room at 11, Itohan Avenue, Ikeja.

According to Today, the 50-year-old Chinese man, Si Guical, allegedly committed suicide. Guical was found dead inside his Lagos residence on that Thursday.

He reportedly hung himself inside his room at Ikeja. He had reportedly tied his neck to an iron window in the room. The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the development.

According to Badmos, detectives from the main center division of the command had visited the house for investigation. She said Guical’s corpse had been placed at the mortuary for autopsy.

Recently, a Chinese man named Zhao Chum, was arrested for allegedly smuggling into Nigeria, unregistered and controlled chemicals used for manufacturing explosives.

He was arrested along with his Nigerian accomplice, a man named Christian Ohia. According to Daily Post, Chum who is 33 owns a furniture company in Ogun state. He was apprehended by officials of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Thursday, July 21.
