The Warriors exemplified a lot of finesse right from the blast of the whistle, and it took them only 10 minutes for Samuel Mathias to break the deadlock for the hosts.

Heartland 1-0 Enyimba

In the Oriental Derby played in Owerri, reigning NPFL champions Enyimba were beaten 1-0 by Heartland.

Enyimba defender, Chinedu Udoji was the culprit of the day as his gaffe at the death made the centre referee to award a penalty for the hosts.
