This is the type of cooperation and support we always require from citizens of this country to enable us clear the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists.

We wish to reiterate the need for all to be more vigilant, security conscious and report any suspicious movements or persons to the nearest security agency.

In a related development, the army averted what would have been a terrible disaster as a bag suspected to contain explosives and planted near the house of the former governor of Borno was defused.

Usman said the planned attack occurred on Sunday, July 31 when passers-by spotted the suspicious bag which was close to the house of Malla Kachalla and alerted the army.
